General Information: PRACTICES Cheerleaders practice twice a week beginning the month of July. The Itty Bitty Squad only practices once per week. Days and times may change based on the coaches’ availability and/or the availability of the Hanover Township Community Center. All practices are held at HTCC. SOCCER GAMES The Hanover Starz Cheerleaders cheer for the Bethlehem Soccer Club (BSC). Hanover Starz is the cheerleading organization’s name, not the soccer team. Soccer games are held on Saturdays and/or Sundays. Home games are held at Crawford Fields in Hanover Township (by Weis). Away games are always within an hour travel time. Times vary and the games last about one hour. Games are held throughout September and October. Itty Bitty Cheerleaders are not required to attend soccer games but can cheer at soccer games if they want to. Eight games are needed to compete. COMPETITIONS Competitions begin near the end of October and finish in the beginning of December, unless your squad competes at Nationals, which is in February or March. They are held on Saturdays and Sundays and last anywhere from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for the younger squads. The older squads usually begin and end later. It is MANDATORY that all cheerleaders attend the competitions. Please do not schedule vacations during these months.
