History: Hanover Township Recreation Youth Cheerleading was founded in 2004 as part of the Lehigh Valley Youth Cheerleading Association (LVYCA), the governing body for youth recreation cheerleading. The Hanover Starz grew out of a sense of community pride and a desire to represent the township in which we live. The Starz have brought together girls of different ages and from various schools in a nurturing environment where they have the opportunity to practice their skills, acquire new ones, learn the meaning of teamwork, and strive to excel in a competitive environment. The Hanover Starz practice at the Hanover Township Community Center where they have the opportunity to train with parent and high school coaches from within our own community who serve as real role models for our children. It also gives the parents the opportunity to get to know their neighbors and neighborhood children. We are currently in our 6th year of competitive cheerleading and we look forward to growing as an organization.
